magical forest done for intermediate concept class last semester. even though it was fun to paint, the composition still looks weak... i need to learn how to de-mush some of my shapes. and all those itty bitty dots of light are giving me a headachegaaahhhh

This looks so fabulously magical and eerie and off-kilter and AWESOME!!! I'm with Minareadjin - I want to magic you to my house and make you paint this on one of my walls. It's totally and absolutely a faerie forest, don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Things look off-kilter and strange in faerieland, that's why it's all weird angles and mushy coloring.

Oh, absolutely add nothing to this pic - it's perfect as it is! You don't have to see little pixies with wings or strange furry things with extra eyes to know they're hiding in there somewhere.

feckin' A! it's kind of funny how we notice all these weird things AFTER you pick the right thumbnail, etc. and everything feels funny after the final critique. that's a positive sign we've learned something, lol.

nice job (besides the mushy thing)! now, um, where's your other forest?
